Glass wool is a kind of glass fiber and artificial inorganic wool.Adopting natural ores like quartz sand or limestone as the main ingredients,then coordinating with some chemical materials such as soda ash and borax,the glass is melted.Under the melting condition,floccular fiber is made through external force and blow.The fly-over crossing is taken on between fibers,then they are interwined.So many fine gaps are showed out.These gaps can be regarded as pore spaces.
The glass wool can be taken on as porous materials with excellent thermal insulation and sound absorption performance,such as heat and coldness preservation,esp,for steel structure building.Also for indoor patition wall and train compartment,deadening treatment of recreational places like cinemas,theatres,TV stations,broadcast stations and laboratories.
